Red Is Not Funny.

Found this via Type For You, a blog for nerds. Red type in comedy movies equals a doomed movie, apparently.

New Books!

I just finished reading Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson. It was not bad, save for the fact that it is written by an adult who tried to sound like a teenager. But, all in all, it was a fun read about ‘when cyberspace goes bad’. I just got some new books in the mail and they are Always Running // La Vida Loca : Gang Days in L.A. and After Dark by Murakami. I can’t decide which to read first, but I may have to opt for the gang book. I’m a sucker for that stuff.

These Eyes.

I love this song and you do too, so why don’t we listen to it together?

Choose Your Vote.

Thought I’d link up some sites to help people choose the correct candidate for el presidente. I’m normally not politically active, but this is worth it. Who are you going to vote for? You don’t know? Then try this out!

Bioshock.

Bioshock Bioshock2

Imagine the year was 1994. You had just spent one year playing the crap out of DOOM. You were anxiously anticipating the next installment, DOOM II. Come October, you get it. And man you can’t wait to install it! Then you play it, and all you get are… …the lost levels from the original DOOM. WTF? There is nothing different save for a palette swap or two. Fast forward 10 more years. You are now the owner of the nifty Xbox. You have been waiting 10 years for DOOM 3. It has arrived and it looks mega cool! Wait a second. This is still DOOM I with new graphics and better sound. Sure the villains looks great and the weapons destroy, but you were hoping for more than a retelling. Alas, it’s cool. Let’s play! Wait, that’s it? I passed it? 50 bucks well spent.

Enter Bioshock. I downloaded the demo for Bioshock on the 360 at the recommendation of the Endangered Gamer. This. Game. Rocks. It is like DOOM 3 with new mechanics and a better location minus the demon spawn. It is probably better compared to other games, but this is Cyborgface’s opinion. Anywho, you should play this. It’s rad.

Sugarhouse.

Sugarhouse

Just watched a film titled Sugarhouse. I give it a 5/10. It wasn’t atrocious, but it definitely would have been a waste of money at the cinema. It stars the lovable Winston from Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. It is an overly “art house/drama” with a grimy urban cityscape. If you have never been to London, like myself, it’s a cheap alternative to checking out the projects over there. Otherwise, save your pence and time and skip it.

Hail.

Thanks for walking here after the archer bus broke down. There was so much wrong with that site I had to euthanize it. You’ve never heard of the archer bus? It’s the blog that made the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. Regardless, this will feature some of the old favorites, including podcasts with terrible music and ranting and surprise guests (many of whom you never heard of, but will grow to love here). This will be sooo worth your bandwidth.
